Job Title: Test EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a Harness Development Engineer to support power device control, entry, body electronics, and powertrain battery systems. This role involves hardware and software development of vehicle ECUs, sensors, and actuators. The engineer will work on developing ECUs through vendors and client-directed testing, including on-vehicle testing and validation. Additionally, the engineer will engage in software programming using Python and apply design skills to read, interpret, and verify drawings, making minor changes as needed.

ResponsibilitiesSupport power device control, entry, body electronics, and powertrain battery systems.Develop hardware and software for vehicle ECUs, sensors, and actuators.Conduct software programming using Python.Read, interpret, and verify technical drawings, making minor adjustments as necessary.Document test results and assess the need for additional testing.Propose design changes and recommend countermeasures based on test analysis.Communicate findings internally and externally through written reports and formal presentations.Manage deadlines and expectations with vendors.Collaborate effectively within a team environment.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum of 3 years experience in ECU development or similar hardware, harness, software experience.Proficiency in software programming.Experience in electrical/electronic testing in a lab setting.Additional Skills & QualificationsTest engineering knowledge.Validation expertise.Experience with cold crank testing.Proficiency in electrical testing.Knowledge of wire harness technology.Work Environment

The role involves working in a lab setting with a focus on electrical and electronic testing. Engineers will collaborate in a team environment to meet deadlines and manage vendor expectations. The dress code is business casual, and the position may involve occasional travel for on-vehicle testing and validation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raymond, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
