Description

This role will focus on refreshing and modernizing existing optical test benches, many of which are up to 15 years old, as well as supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts. The current test environment includes outdated hardware and legacy test code, much of which can no longer be supported because the original equipment has become obsolete.

The objective is to redesign and refresh these benches using up‑to‑date hardware, current test code, and modern software frameworks. This includes rewriting legacy test code and rebuilding test capacity using the most recent versions of the hardware that make up each bench. The ultimate goal is to align refreshed benches with new product platforms where possible.

This work is critical as the business continues to grow—particularly with increased demand driven by AI‑related products—which is expected to significantly impact test capacity requirements.

Scope of Work

\t• Continue supporting NPI activities.

\t• Refresh and modernize legacy optical test benches (15 years old).

\t• Rewrite outdated test code (including LabVIEW and Python).

\t• Replace obsolete hardware with current, supportable platforms.

\t• Redesign test systems with scalability and future products in mind.

\t• Enable increased test capacity for upcoming products.

\t• Refresh and redesign existing products with the intent to migrate them onto newer product platforms.

This role will primarily reside within the optical test domain and operate in a lab-based environment.
