Job Title: Test EngineerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves conducting tests on devices, troubleshooting issues, and working closely with team members to solve problems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in video products and embedded systems testing. Responsibilities + Connect devices to testing fixtures. + Troubleshoot problems without the need for root cause analysis but with an understanding of the products. + Conduct tests using tools such as encoders, decoders, signal generators, and monitors. + Check DC power, analyze issues, report findings, and collaborate with the team to solve problems. + Generate comprehensive test reports. Essential Skills + Experience in video products is strongly preferred; otherwise, extensive embedded systems testing experience is required. + Proficiency in analyzing PCB boards and high-speed signals on boards. + Experience using tools such as digital analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and signal generators. + Ability to program in Python for basic automation and tool configuration. + Experience conducting network testing and interfacing with technologies such as fiber and Ethernet. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in test engineering, video products, and embedded systems testing. + Familiarity with network analyzers and oscilloscopes. + Proficiency in using signal generators and other testing tools. Work Environment The position is on-site with a flexible work schedule. Employees can work from home on occasion, such as when there are personal appointments, and some engineers choose to work from home on Fridays. Core working hours are from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, with flexibility on arrival and departure times as long as an 8-hour workday is maintained. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $58.00/hr.
