Job Title: Systems Test Engineer
Job Description
The Electrical Test Engineer is an integral part of the Engineering Approvals Team, responsible for ensuring product compliance with industry regulations. This role involves detailed product analysis, hands-on testing, test development, and interfacing with regulatory agencies to prepare submission materials for certification.
Responsibilities
Interpret and apply applicable safety and performance standards.Participate in sustaining and new product development teams to capture and document global hazardous location and performance requirements.Develop test and certification strategies to meet global hazardous location and performance requirements.Create test plans and oversee the interpretation of test results in compliance with company and industry standards.Prepare technical justifications and documents to demonstrate compliance with applicable standards.Interface directly with third-party certification agencies and manage projects with them.Write and execute test protocols in accordance with approval standards and procedures, record results, and write test reports.Essential Skills

Associate degree in a related field required; BSEE or CS preferred1-5 years of experience in firmware formal verification and/or validation product testing and requirementsAt least 1 year of experience in standards-based testing and environmental testingUnderstanding of design requirements and their application in product evaluation through technical analysis and testingExcellent written and verbal communication skills for data presentation and test result articulationGood organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrentlyBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field is highly preferredExperience with sustaining and new product development projectsExperience in the design and certification of products used in hazardous locationsKnowledge of hazardous location and/or performance standards (FM, CSA, ATEX, IECEx)Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $44.00/hr.
