Job Title: Test and Evaluation EngineerJob Description

Join our team as a Software Test and Evaluation Integrator, where you will assist in managing, monitoring, coordinating, planning, and developing software test and evaluation activities and documentation.

ResponsibilitiesUtilize your expertise in policies, regulations, and procedures governing software test and evaluation to assist project leaders in planning, coordinating, and executing software test and evaluation.Integrate Department of Defense Instruction 5000.87, Office of the Secretary of Defense best practices, Army policies, and commercial best practices to develop agile software testing strategies and test plans.Provide software test input to program Test and Evaluation documents such as Test and Evaluation Master Plans and Test and Evaluation Strategies.Contribute to the Capability Development process by providing software test input to Capability Needs Statements and help define the software roadmap to capabilities.Participate in software requirements decomposition and traceability engineering to ensure understanding of contractual requirements and test coverage.Interact with vendor software development teams to ensure integration of vendor testing into the software development process.Conduct software backlog reviews, participate in vendor software sprint planning and retrospectives, and review vendor software documentation deliverables.Provide input and review performance work statements and other government documents used in the contractual process with prime software vendors.Develop software test threads and test procedures for executing government system-level software testing in both laboratory and field test environments.Collect software test results and produce reports containing results and metrics to inform future software development and key program management functions.Collaborate with the Hardware team to ensure seamless integration of program hardware and software.Essential SkillsDetail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.Understanding of Agile software development and testing processes.Familiarity with key acquisition policy and best practices governing software testing.Experience with key Agile software management and test tools.Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.Bachelor’s degree in systems, software, computer science, computer engineering, electrical, electronic, or mechanical engineering or related field.At least twelve years of direct related experience including work with user representatives, Army and Joint programs for interoperability testing, and experience with intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance software systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with current PM IS&A software products.Working knowledge of Palantir Technologies core products including Gotham, Foundry, and Titanium.Experience with integration and testing of native or third-party Artificial Intelligence services.Work Environment

This on-site role is located at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, within the Test & Evaluation Center for the U.S. Army. The position supports a fully funded, stable program known as PM IS&A, formerly DCGS-A, providing a professional and dynamic environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $175000.00 - $195000.00/yr.
