The Shop Manager collaborates with Anthropologie store leadership to drive a profitable and customer-centric environment. They are responsible for managing all shop responsibilities including hiring and developing talent, maintaining consistent store controls, and applying merchant skills to create a compelling customer experience.

Role Responsibilities

Customer Experience

Cultivates a welcoming environment by delivering exceptional customer experiences that are engaging and personalized; motivates team to uphold terrain’s four promises: to welcome, to inspire, to inform, and to appreciate our customerInterprets brand direction to create an engaging experience that appeals to the customer through compelling merchandising, display, and plant installationsUtilizes technology to deliver a seamless, omni channel shopping experience through execution of all omni services

Leadership + Team Management

Builds productive relationships with shop employees, Anthropologie store team, and corporate partners contributing to a culture of strong communication and teamworkActively participates in managing the store environment and customer experience by facilitating an energized pace, positivity of the team, and management of daily zonesDevelops a proactive talent planning and hiring strategy to build a network of talent to add different perspectives and experience to terrain; proactively sets goals and delivers feedback for team personal growth

Visual + Business Operations

Oversees operating processes and plans a strategic approach to daily, weekly, and monthly priorities; actively assesses sales forecasts, staff scheduling, and flexes to best support the businessAnalyzes shop business using company reporting tools to identify opportunities to drive sales; takes initiative to make impactful business decisionsImplements corporate direction to impact store layout, display, signage, and merchandising; leads timely and effective execution of visual priorities and product flow processesAdheres to store’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store

Communication + Relationships

Contributes to an inclusive and people-first philosophy; engages with employees at all levels to encourage open dialogue, reinforce follow through, and ensure that the store team is heard and supportedStays current and responds to all communication in a timely manner while ensuring important company information reaches the team; provides store specific scenarios and ideas related to the customer experience to brand leadershipEmbraces a culture of development by protecting time with direct reports and consistently delivering feedback for individual personal growth and succession planning Role Qualifications Terrain brand fan3+ years retail leadership experienceStrong merchant skills and a history of delivering financial resultsProven record of hiring and developing great talentKnowledge of home décor trends & plant managementAbility to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the store including nights, weekends, and holidays The Perks

Pay Range Starting from USD $65,000.00/Yr.
