Tendering & Proposals Specialist (Remote Opportunity)
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is hiring a?Tendering & Proposals Specialist?for our international energy client supporting transformer insulation, bushings, and components across North America. In this role, you’ll lead the charge in developing competitive, high-quality proposals that help secure key contracts and drive business growth.

How You’ll Make an Impact   Lead end-to-end proposal development, from kickoff to submission  Analyze tender documents to identify client needs and align strategies  Collaborate with subject matter experts to craft compelling content  Manage proposal timelines and ensure timely delivery  Facilitate internal reviews and incorporate stakeholder feedback  Develop winning strategies to secure new business  Maintain accurate records of proposal activities and outcomes  Travel occasionally to customer sites, internal meetings, or industry events  Commercial skills - Ability to interpret pricing strategies, terms & conditions, and contractual requirements. Attention to Detail – Ensuring accuracy in quotes, PO alignment, and compliance with customer requirements. Time Management – Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously. Communication Skills – Professional written and verbal communication for internal and external stakeholders. Intermediate Excel Skills – For cost modeling and data analysis. Analytical Skills – Capability to analyze costs, margins, and risks in proposals. Industry Knowledge – Understanding of power systems, transformers, or related equipment required. Good-to-Have Negotiation Skills – Ability to support sales in discussions on pricing and terms. Project Management Basics – Familiarity with project timelines and resource planning. Technical Understanding – Familiarity with product specifications and ability to read technical drawings. Knowledge of Incoterms & Export Compliance – Helpful for global tenders. Experience with PAC (Price Adjustment Clause) – Understanding escalation mechanisms. ERP/CRM Experience – Proficiency in systems like SAP or Salesforce for quote and order processing. Your Background   Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field  Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in tendering, proposals, or sales support in the energy industry sector Strong project management and organizational skills  Excellent written and verbal communication abilities  Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP is a plus  The ability to travel domestically is an essential part of this position. Travel up to 20%
