The PositionAt Roche Hungary’s Diagnostics Division, we are dedicated to ensuring that the latest diagnostic innovations are accessible to all patients. The Tendering & Contract Specialist plays a pivotal role in this mission by ensuring the flawless implementation and execution of public and private tenders.
This is a backfill position within the framework of the ASPIRE Deployment Project which is valid for a fixed-term period until May 31, 2027. The primary objective of this role is to ensure business continuity by covering the daily operational scope and responsibilities of colleagues who are dedicated to the ASPIRE project. By providing expert guidance and proactive knowledge sharing, the job holder ensures that our business remains compliant, competitive and effective during this transformative period.
The Opportunity
Business Continuity & ASPIRE Support
Operational Backfill: Actively take over and manage the daily and emerging tendering and contracting activities of colleagues focusing on the ASPIRE Deployment Project, ensuring no disruption in service or compliance and keeping them up to date with the actual progress.
Transition Management: Maintain a high level of agility to bridge gaps between legacy processes and emerging project requirements.
Tender Management & Execution
Monitoring & Strategy: Proactively monitor procurement platforms and tender opportunities; analyze requirements to ensure a strategic \"go/no-go\" decision-making process.
Documentation & Submission: Support the compilation of tender documentation, coordinate the submission process via the Electronic Procurement System (EKR), ensuring all materials and certificates are secured.
Operational Excellence: Track and document the entire lifecycle of tender procedures, maintaining 100% accuracy and meeting all strict legal and internal deadlines.
Contracting & Legal Compliance
Contract Lifecycle Management: Draft, review, and finalize commercial contracts, ensuring they reflect the specific terms of awarded tenders.
Legal Liaison: Act as a point of contact for external legal partners, authorities, and healthcare institutes to ensure all agreements align with Roche standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Public Procurement and Competition Law, ensuring all activities strictly abide by MedTech Europe Code, ISO, and Roche’s internal Compliance rules.
Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing
Cross-functional Synergy: Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Finance, and Service departments to ensure tender offerings are technically and operationally feasible.
Knowledge Sharing: Provide regular updates to colleagues regarding changes in the legal environment and procurement trends.
Who you are
Education: University degree in relevant discipline
Experience: Hands-on experience in public procurement and tendering, preferably within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or a similarly regulated industry.
Technical Proficiency: Kowledge of the EKR (Electronic Procurement System) and high digital literacy (CRM, Google Suite, and internal Roche interfaces).
Analytical Thinking: High attention to detail and a methodical approach to complex documentation and legal requirements.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex legal requirements into actionable business advice.
Agility: Ability to work autonomously while thriving in an agile, cross-functional team environment, specifically during periods of organizational change.
Languages: Native-level fluency in Hungarian and professional proficiency in English (written and verbal) are essential.
