This posting is for the Temporary Collections Meter Service Representative for Rhode Island Energy (Gas and Electric).

Responsibilities

Perform Off-Cycle meter reading (Pedestrian, soft off-on)Perform physical offsPerform ERT changesPerform field collections - collecting cash, check, or credit card payments from residential and commercial customersPerform wires down standbyAssist CMS personnel as assigned and on two-person assignments as neededDrive and operate all CMS vehicles and equipment as requiredProper utilization of vehicles and equipment, advising proper authorities when vehicle repair or maintenance is required
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.Pass EEI CAST AssessmentMust have good mechanical aptitude and ability, high degree of dependability, and capable of exercising good judgment.Must have the ability to perform physically demanding CMS related activities.Must pass Company physical and qualifying tests to enter DepartmentMust have valid driver's license and be an approved driver of Company vehiclesMust be able to work shiftsD.O.T. drug testing may be requirement for this position
