In this role, you will remotely control robotic systems using advanced interfaces to execute complex tasks, collect high-quality data, and support AI-driven automation initiatives.The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional hand-eye coordination, technical aptitude, and the ability to adapt to dynamic environments. You should be comfortable working with cutting-edge technology and collaborating across engineering and AI teams to ensure operational excellence.As a Teleops Operator, you will play a critical role in enabling robotic manipulation, supporting foundational AI model training, and ensuring safe fallback control in hybrid autonomy systems.Join us in delivering innovative solutions that advance GM’s robotics strategy and help define the next generation of intelligent manufacturing.What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):•Operate robotic arms and mobile robots via teleoperation interfaces.•Execute precise manipulation tasks for assembly, material handling, and data collection.•Monitor robot performance and ensure safety, accuracy, and responsiveness during sessions.•Capture and annotate teleoperation data for AI training pipelines.•Perform basic setup, calibration, and maintenance of teleoperation hardware.•Collaborate with robotics engineers to troubleshoot issues and optimize control systems.•Provide feedback on UI/UX for operator experience improvements.•Maintain operational logs and adhere to safety protocols.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

\t\t\t\t\t

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).•Basic familiarity with Git, Bash and Python•Familiarity with robotic systems, kinematics, and control principles.•Experience with teleoperation platforms.•Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.•Ability to perform fine‑motor and repetitive hand/arm movements for prolonged periods while operating teleoperation interfaces. This is a physical job, not a desk job.•Ability to follow structured procedures and maintain attention to detail.•Prior work in robotics labs, industrial automation, or VR environments.•Knowledge of safety protocols in industrial or lab settings.•Comfort with data annotation tools and basic troubleshooting

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sunnyvale, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
