A Day in the LifeResponsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.TECHNICIAN SUPPORT CAREER STREAM: Provides technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development. Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations. For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes.

Runs minor projects, including performing tests, interpreting data, developing reports.

Required Knowledge and Experience:
• Technical degree (electronics, electromechanical, mechatronics, automation).
• 5 years of experience as equipment maintenance technician.
• Basic English. • Experience in transfer molding (Desirable)
• Experience with hydraulic systems.
• Extensive knowledge of industrial machinery with PLCs, HMIs, pneumatics, mechanics, and electronic circuits.
• Experience in repairing transfer molding machines. (Desirable)

• Mechanics, electricity, pneumatics, and hydraulics: Experience in these areas to perform repairs and maintenance on different types of equipment.
• Troubleshooting: Ability to identify the root cause of problems in machinery and equipment.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance: Knowledge and application of maintenance techniques to prevent failures and repair equipment.
• Interpretation of technical diagrams: Ability to understand technical information and diagrams to identify problems.
• Tool Usage: Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Safety: Knowledge and application of workplace safety regulations.
• Organization and Planning: Ability to organize and plan maintenance activities.
• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with other team members and equipment users.
• Teamwork: Collaboration with other technicians and maintenance personnel.
