TechnOps Engineer (AWS Hosted Systems)

Role Overview

We are looking for a TechOps Engineer with 3–5 years of experience supporting AWS-hosted, mission-critical systems. This role provides regional ownership while collaborating with a global follow-the-sun operations team (APAC, EMEA, AMER) to deliver 24×7 support and maintain 99.95% system availability.

You will work closely with Support, Implementation, and Engineering teams to deploy, monitor, and operate cloud systems serving both regulated industries (Pharma, Life Sciences, Food & Beverage) and non-regulated industries (Oil & Gas, Industrial, Energy).

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Support

Provide 24×7 production support for AWS-hosted systems Monitor system health, performance, and capacity to meet 99.95% uptime SLAs Perform incident triage, root cause analysis (RCA), and resolution Participate in on-call and shift-based support rotations

System Deployment & Commissioning

Support system commissioning and go-live activities Work with Implementation and Project teams during onboarding Validate security, readiness, and operational handover

Cloud & Infrastructure Management

Operate AWS services including EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch Perform routine maintenance, patching, upgrades, and tuning Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and high availability configurations are in place and tested

Compliance & Reliability

Support regulated environments with awareness of GxP and compliance requirements Maintain audit-ready documentation, SOPs, and runbooks Ensure secure and reliable operations across all customer environments

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Collaborate with Support, Engineering, Product, and Implementation teams Identify recurring issues and drive automation and operational improvements Improve monitoring, reliability, and operational processes

Required Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in TechOps, Cloud Operations, or Production Support Strong hands-on experience with AWS-hosted systems Experience with automation, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) Experience supporting 24×7 production environments Solid understanding of high availability, monitoring, incident management, and SLAs Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills Experience working with global teams across time zones

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting regulated industries (Pharma, Life Sciences, Food & Beverage) Familiarity with GxP or compliance-driven operations AWS certifications (SysOps Administrator, Solutions Architect) Experience with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Jira)
