As a Technology Support III team member in the Equities Market Production organization, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience.
Job responsibilities
Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firmSupports the day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems to ensure operational stability and availabilityAssist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability toolsIdentify issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholdersAnalyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructureMonitors trading application stack and critical batch processing to ensure operational stabilityEngages regularly with business client services, infrastructure, and other stakeholders of supported applicationsResolves day-to-day issues impacting the application stack, acting as the first point of contact for Technology and BusinessCollaborates closely with the Digital Platforms development team to understand issues and drive resolutionsCreates, continuously improves, and maintains real-time monitoring dashboards for system operability and performanceManages the on-boarding of new businesses, clients, and applications to the team’s portfolioRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology servicesDemonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloudExperience in observability and monitoring tools and techniquesExposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) frameworkUndergraduate degree in a numerate subject (e.g. mathematics, engineering, computing science)Experience with Control M and Autosys SchedulerExperience developing and supporting applications built on Python, Java, or .NET frameworkExperience with relational databases and ability to write complex SQL queriesExperience working with UNIX/Linux platforms - Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)Proficiency with incident and problem management best practices including resource coordination, stakeholder communication, root cause analysis, and incident post mortemsExperience adopting and implementing SRE and/or DevOps practices and tools
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scriptingWorking knowledge of public cloudDemonstrated knowledge of Networking/Infrastructure Experience with KDB or other non-SQL databasesExperience supporting public/private cloud-based, Java, or e-commerce applications a plusAWS certifications preferred (Cloud Practitioner, Architect, and/or Developer Associate)Working knowledge of Grafana and Tableau is a plus
