Technology Director - Chief Administrative Office

About this role:

The Chief Operating Office Technology(COO Tech) organization, provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office . This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. COO Technology provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization. CAO Technology is the dedicated technology team supporting Corporate Properties, Corporate Security, Supply Chain Management, Enterprise Resiliency, Privacy, CAO Data and Insights technology needs.

Within COO Technology, we are seeking a Technology Director to join the CAO (Chief Administrative Office) Technology. This role will lead various build out & delivery of CAO portfolios.


In this role, you will:

Manage a global team of engineering managers and engineering leadsFocus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic prioritiesBuild support for strategies with business and technology leadersGuide development of actionable roadmaps and plansIdentify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practicesProvide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providersPerform financial management and create strategic resourcing plansSet risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiativesDevelop strategies for hiring engineering talentLead implementation of projects and drive engineering & innovation.Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managersLead team to achieve objectivesInterface with external agencies, or industry forums as neededManage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic LeadershipDevelop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy


Required Qualifications:

8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education8+ years of experience in domains such as Corporate Properties, Supply Chain, Corporate Security, Enterprise Resiliency and implementation of technology solutions6+ years of experience working in a hands-on software developer or architecting end-to-end solutions4+ years of management or leadership experience4+ years of direct report management experience including, organizational development, global teams management (i.e. delivery management, performance management and compensation management) 3+ years of experience with delivering solutions with Artificial Intelligence (traditional and generative AI)


Desired Qualifications:

15+ years of total experience, of which at least 7+ in managing and building teams in a financial domainExperience with Real Estate management, Real Estate transactions, Contracts, Invoices, Payments, Financials (accounting, depreciation, etc.)Experience with vendor packages and Software as a Service (Saas) solutions in any of the domains of Corporate Properties, Supply Chain, Corporate Security or Enterprise ResiliencyExperience with hardware implementations related Building Management/Facilities Management, Endpoint/ iOT devices or Heating/Cooling equipmentExperience with managing software development projects through complete release cycles Strong executive presence, facilitation skills, drive for results, attention to quality and detail, and a synergetic attitudeAbility to develop and deliver effective, well-articulated, written, and oral communications (e.g., emails, presentation materials) applying appropriate level of content/ detail dependent upon audience and intentExperience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business and technology acumenExperience motivating and influencing groups or individuals across organizational boundaries to gain trust and confidence to make timely decisionsExcellent communications, interpersonal, and presentations skills across technical and non-technical groupsProven track record of successfully leading and managing teams in a high-pressure environmentStrategic thinking and problem-solving abilities with a focus on proactive solutionsExperience with Agile transformations Experience with Java, Big Data or Open Architecture stackExperience in creating & delivering technology roadmaps
