Job Family Definition:

The Technology Consultant provides consulting to external customers and internal project teams and is responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers’ business needs and, consequently, for understanding customers’ businesses. As trusted advisor- create and maintain effective customer relationships to enable project success.

Responsibilities: 

Design, deploy, and manage clusters in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, ensuring high availability and scalability to meet organizational demands.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Helm for consistent and efficient provisioning and configuration.

Manage and optimize networking policies, access controls, and resource utilization within clusters to enhance security, performance, and cost-efficiency.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to the performance, stability, and reliability of cluster environments, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery.

Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines tailored to containerized applications, integrating automation to support continuous deployment and smooth application updates.

Collaborate with DevOps, development, and infrastructure teams to align cluster deployments with business objectives and support agile, collaborative workflows.

Develop Proof of Concepts and reusable solutions to leverage within projects and during pursuits.

Be a part of a technical community – contribute to knowledge-sharing and assist with coaching and onboarding of junior team members.

Requirements: 

6-10 years of professional experience and a Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study

Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift/Rancher, and related container technologies (e.g., Docker).

Proven expertise in automation and Infrastructure as Code, with strong skills in Ansible, Terraform, Helm, and other relevant tools.

Solid understanding of networking, security practices, and storage solutions within containerized and cloud environments.

Ability to further develop existing solutions in order to enhance availability, performance, and maintainability.

Experience in migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions.

Strong troubleshooting skills with focus on identifying root causes and implementing reliable solutions for complex issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling efficient teamwork across development, operations, and infrastructure teams.

Ability to work independently and within a team, meeting deadlines while effectively managing project priorities and stakeholder expectations.

Skills: 

Kubernetes / OpenShift / Rancher

Strong Linux knowledge

CI/CD knowledge like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Action

Networking and security

Scripting & Automation (Terraform, Ansible) is an advantage

RedHat Certification is considered an advantage

Fluent in English is a must, German is a strong advantage
