The Technology Audit Management Director serves as a senior leader responsible for shaping and executing the strategic direction of technology audit coverage across the bank. This role blends deep technology risk expertise with forward looking strategic planning, ensuring the audit function anticipates emerging risks, aligns with enterprise priorities, and provides meaningful insights to executive leadership and the Board.
In this role, you will:
Manage and develop a team of multiple levels of managers and individual contributors with focus on delivering service of moderate to high complexity for cross functional stakeholders and internal partners associated with the risk mitigation function or affected by its outcomesIdentify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development by overseeing strategy and execution of all activitiesLead team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues related to higher risk deliverables; interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for functions with moderate to high complexity and riskCollaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including senior leadershipEngage and influence business heads, regulators, control management, risk, legal, and audit partners to successfully ensure appropriate management of business riskManage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in business groupDevelop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategyRequired Qualifications:
8+ years of risk management, business controls, or compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education4+ years of management or leadership experience4+ years of strong understanding of cybersecurity, cloud technologies, data management, digital platforms, and emerging technologies4+ years of proven ability to lead end-to-end audit engagement processes, serving as the central point of contact for auditors and ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent responses across technology stakeholders4+ years of deep understanding of technology risk frameworks, internal controls, and regulatory requirements (e.g., OCC, FFIEC, SOX) to support audit readiness and executionDesired Qualifications:
Experience in building audit engagement strategies for technology resiliency and regulatory execution within large-scale banking or financial institutionsExpertise in leveraging audit findings and issue trends to drive continuous improvement in technology risk management and control effectivenessFamiliarity with emerging technology risk frameworks, cybersecurity standards, and operational resiliency requirementsAbility to influence senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between audit outcomes and factual, objective assessmentsExceptional executive communication skills and proven ability to lead diverse, high performing teamsDemonstrated ability to develop long term strategies, influence senior stakeholders, and translate complex risks into actionable insightsJob Expectations:
