**DESCRIPTION** In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: + Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, diagnostic assessments, and minor repairs on engines and power generation equipment at customer sites. + Communicate effectively with customers to understand concerns, explain findings, and outline next steps, ensuring a positive service experience. + Utilize a range of mechanical and electronic tools to troubleshoot issues and execute service tasks with precision and safety. + Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including service worksheets, inspection reports, timesheets, and warranty submissions. + Support the team in maintaining a clean and well-stocked service vehicle to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. + Actively participate in training, mentoring, and upskilling opportunities to expand technical expertise and meet evolving business needs. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **To be successful in this role you will need the following:** + A vocational diploma or trade qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering (or related field). + A valid and current driver’s license to travel to various customer locations. + Basic hands-on experience working with engines, generators, or related equipment—workshop or field service experience desirable. + Willingness to learn and grow professionally through technical training and on-the-job mentorship. + Strong interpersonal skills, with a customer-first mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving. + Commitment to safety protocols and demonstrated awareness of Health, Safety & Environmental standards. + Familiarity with diagnostic tools, schematics, and service documentation processes (preferred but not mandatory). + Additional licenses such as HR or forklift (highly regarded). **QUALIFICATIONS** Field Service Residential 2/1 Roster **Job** Service **Organization** Cummins Inc. **Role Category** On-site with Flexibility **Job Type** Technician **ReqID** 2423911 **Relocation Package** No **100% On-Site** No
