Responsible for the installation and maintenance of systems including Voice and Data, Fiber Optics, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Security, Access Control, Wireless Systems, and Nurse Call.
ResponsibilitiesInstall low-voltage cabling such as voice, data, security, paging, and nurse-call systems, as well as fiber optic cables.Perform cross-connect cable tasks.Conduct fiber splicing and termination.Terminate cable according to color codes.Test for polarity, connectivity, and organize racks and patch panels.Set up computer rooms.Process paperwork accurately, neatly, and in a timely manner.Maintain compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.Install pathways and cabling.Analyze blueprints effectively for job site knowledge.Anticipate equipment, procedures, and training for upcoming tasks.Complete an overall job layout for projects of limited scope and size.Lead small crews when opportunity arises.Enforce a safe jobsite and maintain compliance with safety standards.Install and terminate peripheral devices.Essential SkillsExpertise in electrical, mechanical, and troubleshooting.Proficiency in low voltage tasks and fiber splicing.Experience with Cat5 and Cat6 cabling.Ability to install, service, and repair cabling systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to bend, lift, and carry equipment regularly.Capable of working in tight spaces for installation.Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.Proficiency in terminating cables according to color codes.Ability to frequently climb ladders and perform extended overhead cabling.Capability to grip, push, and pull feed cable vertically and horizontally.Ability to drive to job sites and handle tools and material supplies.Willingness to travel out of state, including potential airline travel.Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.Why Work Here?Join an employee-owned company where your contributions are valued and your growth is supported.
