**Job Title: Technician** Job Description As a Technician, you will monitor process parameters, alarms, and equipment status, making necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance. Additionally, you will be tasked with conducting quality control by taking samples from designated points and ensuring their timely delivery to the laboratory for testing. Chemical handling is another critical aspect of the role, requiring you to fill chemicals based on production requirements and ensure proper dosing while adhering to safety protocols. You will also conduct preventive maintenance on field equipment and report any issues, all while following plant safety procedures, especially when handling hazardous materials or working with high-temperature equipment. Responsibilities + Operate refinery equipment and manage plant operations using Distributed Control Systems (DCS). + Monitor process parameters, alarms, and equipment status, making necessary adjustments for optimal performance. + Conduct quality control by taking samples and ensuring their timely delivery to the laboratory. + Handle chemicals, ensuring proper dosing and adherence to safety protocols. + Perform preventive maintenance on field equipment and report any issues. You'll need to be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, as well as in confined spaces. Exposure to chemicals, pressurized steam, dust, heat, noise, and fumes is expected. The facility has roughly ten production operators on all shifts. The dress code is casual, but steel-toed boots, a hard hat, safety glasses, and additional PPE are required, with uniforms provided later on. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
