Job Description
This role encompasses both Commercial Sheet Metal Installer and Commercial Plumber positions. The Technician will fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components for various construction projects, including HVAC systems, and specialize in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in commercial buildings. This position demands precision, technical skills, and strict adherence to safety standards.
ResponsibilitiesFabrication and Assembly: Measure, cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal using hand tools and machinery.Installation: Install sheet metal components according to blueprints and technical drawings.Maintenance and Repair: Perform maintenance and repair tasks on installed sheet metal components.Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications.Collaboration: Work effectively with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time.Plumbing Installation: Install pipes, fixtures, and plumbing systems for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure functionality and compliance with building codes.Repair: Diagnose and repair issues with plumbing systems, including leaks, blockages, and malfunctioning fixtures.Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand the layout of plumbing systems and the required materials.Testing: Test pipes for leaks using air or water pressure gauges.Safety Compliance: Ensure all plumbing work adheres to local and national building codes and safety standards.Cost Estimation: Provide cost estimates for plumbing services to clients.Emergency Repairs: Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.Collaboration: Coordinate with construction or project managers to ensure plumbing projects are completed on time and within budget.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
