Job Description

This role involves serving as a Laborer for the construction of landfill gas collection or other environmental pollution control systems. The technician will perform work in a professional, productive, and safe manner, while continually striving to improve health and safety performance.

ResponsibilitiesAdopt the principles of Safety Culture and understand the philosophy regarding behavior-based safety.Play a part in eliminating unsafe practices and conditions.Proficiently use the Trimble TSC5 unit for site calibration, importing CSV files, staking out projects, checking grade of installed piping, and exporting points weekly to engineers.Operate machinery including haul truck, Bobcat, and Excavator.Utilize fusion equipment effectively.Read wells liquid levels and maintain well pumps.Install extraction wells and pumps.Oversee projects to ensure quality standards are met.Read SEMS for project assessment.Essential SkillsMinimum of 1 year of experience with pipe or mechanical work.Proficiency in operating machinery such as forklifts and small equipment.Advanced technical skills related to the operation and maintenance of pipe fusion equipment.1 to 3 years of general construction experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift operating experience preferred.Flexibility to be on call for emergencies, work overtime, and weekends as needed.Ability to travel as required.Valid driver's license with a good driving record.Ability to meet physical requirements for driving a pick-up truck, lifting, and carrying.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work involves active construction sites with necessary safety equipment and protocols. Expect variable hours, including potential overtime and weekend work. The role requires travel and adherence to safety dress codes for site work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
