**Job Description**
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and analytical **Technician 2, Engineering** to join our engineering team in Bengaluru, India. This role is responsible for supporting engineering validation and qualification activities with strong ownership of test execution, test infrastructure, and initial failure analysis. The position works closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate testing, timely reporting, and efficient resolution of technical issues.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Plan and execute validation, qualification, and regression tests across products, systems, and subsystems, ensuring adherence to test plans and schedules.
2. Generate clear, accurate test reports, maintain detailed logs and evidence for traceability, and support engineers with data analysis for design and qualification decisions.
3. Perform initial failure analysis on test failures, identify probable failure areas, and provide first-level triage before escalation. Present findings during issue scrub meetings and support root cause analysis.
4. Set up, configure, and maintain test infrastructure, including systems, devices, automation setups, and lab equipment. Ensure test environments are stable, repeatable, and compliant with defined standards.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as design, firmware, validation, and quality to resolve issues efficiently and support the implementation of engineering processes and test methodologies.
6. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps in test coverage, infrastructure, or execution workflows. Proactively identify and communicate risks in test execution and infrastructure readiness.
**Qualifications**
Skill sets desired
1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related discipline).
2. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a similar engineering technician, validation, or test execution role.
3. Work experience in Python-based automation (test automation, log parsing, infra automation, or data analysis) is a strong plus
4. Experience in test planning, test execution, result consolidation, and test reporting.
5. Proven ability to understand test scenarios/cases, execute them independently, and track execution status.
6. Experience in product qualification, reliability testing, or NAND-based storage products is a strong plus.
7. Working knowledge of storage and interface protocols such as SD / SD Express, USB / SCSI, PCIe / NVMe, eMMC / UFS
8. with protocol and debug tools such as PCAP analyzers, LeCroy protocol analyzers, or equivalent is a plus.
9. Experience in test infrastructure setup, maintenance, and lab equipment handling.
10. Familiarity with quality control procedures, engineering processes, and standard operating methodologies.
11. Ability to create test plans, define execution timelines, and ensure adherence to schedules.
12. Experience in providing daily test execution status and results to stakeholders.
13. Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
