**Job Title: Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC**
Job Description
The Refrigeration/HVAC Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial HVAC and supermarket rack refrigeration systems across retail facilities. This role ensures optimal equipment performance and safety, supporting smooth store operations.
Responsibilities
+ Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC/R systems.
+ Diagnose and repair refrigeration and HVAC issues using digital and manual tools.
+ Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
+ Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and industry regulations.
+ Maintain accurate records of repairs, refrigerant usage, and inventory.
Essential Skills
+ Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and refrigeration.
+ Excellent preventive maintenance abilities.
+ Strong communication and people skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Vocational/Technical HVAC/R certification and 2+ years of experience, or 4+ years of relevant experience.
+ EPA Type I and II certification.
+ Experience with large-scale rack refrigeration systems.
+ Valid driver’s license; ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work at heights.

Work Environment
Work involves navigating narrow, confined spaces such as storage areas and mechanical rooms, with exposure to varying temperatures, including extreme heat, cold, wet, or drafty conditions. May work on rooftops, scaffolding, or in ceiling spaces, requiring movement over uneven or slippery surfaces, especially during inclement weather. Overnight shifts and varying schedules may be required, with frequent travel between facilities.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $56160.00 - $93600.00/yr.
