Position Summary
The Senior Manager - Business Analyst / Domain SME will lead the business and functional workstream for large data and analytics programs in life sciences. This role focuses on aligning business needs with delivery, managing stakeholders and ensuring high-quality outcomes. The individual will act as a trusted partner to business users, guide a team of analysts and make sure business requirements are clearly converted into effective technical and reporting solutions.
Job Responsibilities Act as the primary functional SME for life sciences and pharma commercial use cases. Lead high-level discussions with business stakeholders to understand priorities, KPIs and decision needs. Provide functional direction and clarify business expectations across workstreams. Own end-to-end business requirements, including process flows, KPIs, dashboards and reports. Translate business needs into clear functional specifications for data engineering, analytics and reporting teams. Review and validate functional designs to ensure they meet business intent. Ensure data governance, business rules and definitions are correctly captured from a business perspective. Lead UAT planning, execution and business sign-off. Drive end-user training, release communication and adoption of delivered solutions. Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure functional readiness for sprint deliveries. Serve as a key bridge between business users, technical teams and program leadership. Support status reporting, risk identification and functional dependency management. Contribute to roadmap planning and prioritization from a business standpoint. Education Bachelor of TechnologyMaster of Computer ApplicationWork Experience 10–14 years of experience in business analysis, functional consulting or domain SME roles within life sciences / pharma. Strong understanding of pharma commercial processes and analytics, especially sales, marketing and performance management. Hands-on experience with commercial datasets and systems (e.g., Veeva CRM, sales operations, SFE KPIs, reporting dashboards). Excellent stakeholder management, written communication and presentation skills. Understanding of compliance and reporting structures in pharma sector.
