PIC, a Genus company, has an exciting opportunity. We are looking for a Technical Services Senior Specialist - (W2F) Wean to Finish (Remote in the Mid-West - USA) to provide high quality services to customers in North America.

 

This position will be responsible for providing specialized services and support to the wean-to-finish segment of our customers’ operations with a primary target of supporting the customer in reaching and exceeding their targets for biological and financial performance. By combining current technical knowledge with practical farm experience, this candidate will help identify opportunity areas, suggest potential action plans and in many cases work side-by-side with customers to implement and realize the target advancements.

 

The successful candidate is able work in a culturally diverse, fast-paced environment, including the ability to multi-task and anticipate needs while managing competing priorities and maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbally and in written form, as well as organizational skills are pivotable to succeed in this role.

 

The position is based remotely in the Mid-West region of the USA, with travel approximately of 50% domestic. Travel may increase in times of business need.

 

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $105,000 USD. The salary provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Genus considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

You Will Work with multiple customers to help ensure PIC product performance in wean-to-finish.Monitor performance levels and help establish and respond to performance opportunities targeted by PIC commercial customers.Develop, with other members of Technical Services, comprehensive plans aimed at creating value with customers through PIC products, technology and/or services.Provide training for new members of the company.Deliver new technical information and initiatives to a wide range of end users via on-farm and in-office training.Help customers realize the genetic potential of PIC products. Requirements

Basic Qualifications: (required)

Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, animal science, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in swine production, with a proven ability to influence and improve production performance and efficiency.Strong capability in evaluating production systems and developing strategic interventions to enhance processes, productivity, and financial outcomes.Proficient in assimilating, analyzing and clear communicating technical information effectively, including the generation of technical papers and material to support sales.Ability to work and travel independently.Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time within North America; travel may increase based on business needs.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in agriculture, animal sciences or related field.Spanish language proficiency.
