Technical Services Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Technical Services Engineer to join our team, focusing on developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for sales and service enhancements. You will play a pivotal role in securing Preventative Maintenance contract renewals, upselling opportunities, and driving new preventive maintenance contract sales.

Responsibilities

Secure Preventative Maintenance contract renewals and identify upsell opportunities while maintaining and building relationships with existing customers.Manage and develop account relationships to drive new preventive maintenance contract sales, as well as identify opportunities for repairs, upgrades, and other service offerings.Prepare and process quotations while proactively contacting existing and potential customers to sell or extend their service agreements.Proactively generate, qualify, and pursue existing and new client leads to generate service revenue.Use CRM tools to track all required KPIs, manage the pipeline, and provide activity reports and sales forecasts for management on a monthly basis.Collaborate with various internal departments to address customer concerns effectively and pass on relevant leads.Maintain a positive attitude towards customer relationships, with an emphasis on responsiveness and ownership of the customers’ requests.Provide high-level customer support through diligent follow-up to maximize customer satisfaction and ensure customers’ lifetime commitment to our products.Demonstrate technical competence in service products and applications to ensure proper sales application meeting customer needs for after-market products.Engage in department-wide projects, including improvements to efficiency and development of service sales strategy.Carry out tasks assigned by your supervisor that are essentially related to your duties.

Essential Skills

2-4 years’ experience in an inside sales position within a service or technical support in a manufacturing environment or equivalent experience.Proven competence in selling technical services and ability to meet targets.Experienced negotiator focused on value proposition and customer attributes/priorities.Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to manage your own workload.Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.Hands-on approach to getting things done, with a desire to make a difference.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.Strong computer and CRM skills, with full command of all MS Office products.Ability to work flexible hours as necessary to attend regional needs.Must present a professional and energetic presence coupled with strong interpersonal skills.Customer service-oriented, responsive person with a positive, 'can-do' attitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associates degree in a business-related discipline is a plus but not required.

You will work in a dynamic environment that requires flexibility to attend to regional needs. The role demands a professional presence and energy, coupled with strong interpersonal skills to foster customer relationships effectively. The position involves using CRM tools and all MS Office products, ensuring detailed tracking and reporting of activities and opportunities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carol Stream, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
