Technical Leader – Plant Warehouse Engineering
Overview A Supply Chain Transformation & Engineering Technical (SCTE) Leader is an internal expert and has the highest accountability for solving and implementing solutions to technical problems and issues within the S+D function. This role requires strong, innovative, and internal technical expertise on FLNA critical technologies and business processes that ensure fast commercialization of new initiatives, continuity to not repeat mistakes, and the ability for field teams to get critical support and information as needed. This role is responsible for solving complex innovation needs through proactive sourcing, development and implementation of solutions that address business requirements. The Plant Warehouse Engineering Level 10 Technical Engineer is an internal expert and key leader in delivering complex, technical initiatives. This role requires strong, innovative, deep internal technical expertise on PFNA critical technologies and business processes that ensure fast commercialization of new initiatives, continuity to not repeat mistakes, and the ability for field teams to get critical support and information as needed. This role is responsible for sourcing, developing, and implementing solutions that meet business needs. The Plant Warehouse Engineering team manages large capital projects dedicated to automation, capacity, productivity, and maintenance. We exist to serve our Consumers and Customers by providing Plant Warehouse capacity, productivity, and maintenance/obsolescence/end-of-life automation solutions through capital projects and world class maintenance strategies to deliver optimal asset performance that enables Supply Chain and Sales to bring Smiles to our Consumers in partnership with sites and headquarters partners. Our objectives are to Define and deliver automation projects to new and legacy sites through new and existing commercialized ready now technologies, and ensure site maintenance teams are ready for projects, Prioritize and deliver warehouse maintenance, obsolescence, and end of life projects to address aging automation, Develop plans to prevent extended outages and maximize automation performance through audits, in-house or contract maintenance, data collection, and service agreements, Provide warehouse capacity solutions by delivering new and expanding plant warehouses, adding dock doors, and tractor and trailer parking. Responsibilities Develops and supports the ready now automation design, installation, startup, and post startup support of S+D Engineering projects. Partners closely with other S+D Technical Leaders and Project Managers to deliver solutions to project needs including new work intake and automation solutions. Partners with other functions such as Warehouse Modernization, Warehouse Operations/COEs, 1NA, IT, Asset Strategy, Project Managers, and Campus Planning to provide detailed technical input to the project teams to ensure that the Warehouse solutions deliver the desired metrics. Supports and develops Project Managers during all project phases. Reviews project drawings to ensure consistency and adherence to standards. Ensures project design and planning follows best practices and meets Warehouse design standards. Drives resolution of technical challenges within the Warehouse. Reviews proposals and engineering designs and validates accuracy. Leads Lessons Learned processes. Supports vendor strategy to improve quality and reduce costs. Develops new ideas and company standards for consideration. Applies technical knowledge to proactively identify areas of risk and builds solutions to ensure results. Supports proposal and estimating activities. Provides input to project scope, cost and schedule of projects. Actively participates in, promotes, and maximizes the use of the FLNA Community and other available resources. Participates in recruiting of key technical staff. Provides detailed technical insights to influence business decisions. Develops innovative and cost competitive solutions to complex problems through individual and cross functional partners. Other Technical functions as deemed necessary. May manage up to 2 direct reports. Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $110,700 - $185,250. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Strong technical experience and knowledge of the warehouse fundamentals. Ability to manage extreme complexity and multiple workstreams. Established creative thinker and an expert in the commercialization of aligned strategies. BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering. Technical curiosity with a desire to continuously learn. Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, aggressive, results-oriented culture. Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.
