Your future duties and responsibilities:

We are seeking a Technical Lead with strong expertise in UNIX, PL/SQL, and SAS to analyze existing applications, data flows, and database logic, and drive redesign and development activities. The role requires deep technical understanding, strong documentation skills, and close coordination with developers and stakeholders to modernize and improve application components.
 
Key Responsibilities

. Analyze existing applications, batch processes, data flows, and system architecture
. Review and understand PL/SQL stored procedures, packages, and complex SQL logic
. Analyze SAS programs and UNIX shell scripts to understand end-to-end processing
. Document current-state architecture, application flows, data lineage, and technical dependencies
. Identify gaps, performance issues, and improvement opportunities
. Collaborate with Azure databricks/PySpark developers to redesign, refactor, and develop optimized code
. Support development, testing, and production issue analysis as needed

 
Required Skills

. Strong experience in UNIX/Linux and shell scripting
. Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL (procedures, packages, performance tuning)
. Hands-on experience with SAS (Base SAS, SQL, Macros)
. Strong understanding of batch processing and data-intensive applications
. Ability to produce clear and detailed technical documentation
. Experience with job schedulers
. Exposure to cloud or application modernization initiatives
. Domain experience in BFSI or analytics-heavy environments
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
. Effective communication and coordination with cross-functional teams
. Ability to work independently and lead technically
