As a Technical Implementation Associate I within the Commercial and Investment Bank Payments Technology, Merchant Services team,  you will lead clients through the integration and testing of credit card transaction processing on our platforms. You will partner directly with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to align payment workflows with technical specifications and regulatory standards. You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, managing multiple projects while building trusted relationships. Your work enables businesses across industries to process payments securely and reliably.

Job responsibilitiesLead technical onboarding and implementation for mid-sized merchants and third-party integratorsAdvise clients on connectivity options, communication protocols, and transaction record formats aligned to product capabilitiesPlan and execute integration testing to validate features, connectivity, industry, and regulatory requirementsAnalyze transaction and file messages sent to test environments or self-testing tools and communicate results and remediation stepsDiagnose issues across application, data, and network layers; coordinate fixes with clients and internal partnersServe as the primary point of contact for implementation issues and drive timely resolutionCoordinate technical activities for migrations from current processing environments to our platformsMentor analysts and collaborate with cross-functional partners to improve client integrations and internal processesPartner with sales consultants and subject matter experts to provide advanced technical consultation on client callsSupport complex initiatives including EMV chip certification with card networksContribute to special projects that enhance the tools, processes, and standards used during implementationRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills3+ years of experience in the credit card payment processing industry in a technical role5+ years of experience in a technical role such as networking, technical support, quality assurance, sales engineering, or business analysis1 year of experience with connectivity technologies such as MPLS, VPN, internet, or cloud networking1 year of experience with protocols such as TCP/IP, SFTP, and HTTPSExperience reading and interpreting technical product specifications for transaction and file-based integrations2 years of experience diagnosing complex issues across applications, data messages, and network connectivityFamiliarity with payment security and compliance requirements such as Payment Card Industry (PCI) standardsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with a client-focused mindsetAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentAbility to handle escalations with professionalism and drive positive outcomesPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsExperience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and payment terminalsExperience with EMV chip certification processes with card networksKnowledge of processing platforms such as Stratus, Tandem, or Orbital GatewayBachelor’s degree in a related fieldExperience mentoring peers and leading process improvementsExperience working with resellers, hardware vendors, and integrators in the payments ecosystemExperience with host simulators and self-testing tools for payments integrations
