**About the Role:**
As the **Atlas Technical Director** , you will be at the forefront of strategic technical leadership, guiding a talented team of Automation Engineers in the design, development, and deployment of the Atlas platform. Atlas is a state-of-the-art, CSfC-aligned application designed to streamline the deployment, management, and security orchestration of products within the Archon suite. Your mission? To transform legacy CLI-intensive processes into intuitive, wizard-based workflows with a containerized architecture and automated compliance capabilities.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ **Lead and Inspire:** Mentor and guide a team of Automation Engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
+ **Set the Standard:** Establish and enforce technical standards, coding practices, and architectural patterns to ensure excellence across the development team.
+ **Ensure Quality:** Conduct thorough code reviews, design reviews, and technical assessments to maintain high-quality standards and compliance.
+ **Drive Decisions:** Serve as the primary technical decision-maker, tackling architectural and engineering challenges to keep the project on track.
+ **Unify Platforms:** Oversee the seamless integration of features from legacy platforms into the unified Atlas platform.
+ **Automate Everything:** Ensure the automation of code generation, inventory management, and compliance reporting for on-site deployments.
+ **Modernize UI:** Design and maintain a consistent web UI framework to eliminate CLI dependencies and enhance user experience.
+ **Champion Best Practices:** Promote infrastructure-as-code practices using Ansible, AWX, and bash scripting to automate deployment pipelines.
+ **Strategize for Success:** Create and maintain roadmap reports, prioritized backlogs, and vision reviews aligned with customer needs.
+ **Communicate Effectively:** Develop, brief, and deliver technical documentation, including status reports and meeting minutes, to program stakeholders.
+ **Ensure Compliance:** Make sure all Atlas components meet CSfC, RMF, and ATO compliance requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
+ **Harden Security:** Oversee STIG implementation, security hardening, and continuous monitoring processes for deployed systems.
+ **Manage Patching:** Coordinate disconnected patching processes and compliance reporting for RHEL, VMware, and containerized components.
+ **Deploy Anywhere:** Ensure flexible, secure deployments across various environments, including on-premise, classified, and disconnected networks.
+ **Gather Feedback:** Establish feedback loops with end users and operators to capture operational requirements and drive continuous improvement.
**Qualifications You’ll Bring:**
+ **Security Clearance:** Active Top Secret security clearance.
+ **Extensive Experience:** 15+ years of IT experience with demonstrated expertise in RHEL administration, VMware virtualization, and network device configuration.
+ **Leadership:** 5+ years of team leadership experience managing technical personnel in engineering or DevOps environments.
+ **Technical Director Experience:** 2+ years serving as a Technical Director or equivalent technical leadership role on a government or DoD contract.
+ **Automation Expertise:** Strong background in automation and infrastructure-as-code using Ansible, bash scripting, and related tools.
+ **Agile Proficiency:** Demonstrated experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies, including serving as a Product Owner or SCRUM Master.
+ **Compliance Acumen:** Experience achieving and maintaining ATO/RMF compliance for deployed systems.
+ **Communication Skills:** Proven ability to develop and deliver technical briefings, roadmaps, and planning materials to senior stakeholders and customers.
+ **Environment Experience:** Experience deploying and supporting systems in classified, disconnected, and operational environments.
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ **CSfC Experience:** Experience with CSfC (Commercial Solutions for Classified) applications and architectures.
+ **Certifications:** RHCSA or equivalent Red Hat certification, Cisco networking certifications (CCNA/CCNP), or equivalent experience.
+ **UI Development:** Experience with web UI development frameworks and wizard-based workflow design.
+ **Military Background:** Prior military service or experience supporting military operations.
+ **Enterprise Tools:** Experience with ELK, Graylog, Git, Satellite, IdM, or similar enterprise tools.

**Pay Range** : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$114,600-$252,100
