Technical Design Manager (Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation)

As a CBRE Technical DesignManager, you will be responsible for overseeing the design review processincluding schematic design, design development, and construction documentation,ensuring alignment with corporate standards and sustainability initiatives fora large financial client.
**What You'llDo:**
Provide formal supervisionto employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conductperformance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of newemployees.
Coordinate and manage theteam's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, andcross-train staff.
Set and track staff anddepartment deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
Build and strengthenongoing client relationships. Identify new opportunities within BusinessDevelopment.
Act as a point of contactwith the client. Directly impact the success of a project by overseeing designquality, fiscal management, client satisfaction, and team management.
Interpret contracttechnical specifications and organize staffing/work plan to provide requiredscope of work.
Prepare detailed technical project proposals,including specifications, timelines, and resource allocation. Identify anddocument additional services for review by the Project Director and approval ofclient.
Implement and oversee QA/QC processes withinproject schedule, ensuring adherence to technical standards and best practices.
Conduct technical designreviews with team to promote innovative and efficient solutions.
Review contract documentsfor completeness, accuracy, and alignment with technical requirements.
Manage construction,procurement, and labor budgets, optimizing resource allocation for maximumefficiency.
Lead by example and modelbehaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties ofshared interests to reach an agreement.
Apply knowledge of own discipline and how owndiscipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
Identify, troubleshoot,and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex technical issues which may or maynot be evident in existing systems and processes.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies andindustry best practices in technical design.
**What You'llNeed:**
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technicalfield preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, acombination of experience and education will be considered. Relevantprofessional certifications are a plus.
Ability to guide theexchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult technical information, conveyperformance expectations and handle problems effectively.
Leadership skills tomotivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the jobdiscipline and department.
In-depth knowledge ofMicrosoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Extensive organizational skills with a stronginquisitive mindset.
Proven ability to managemultiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.
Strong communication andinterpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively withcross-functional teams.

**WHAT YOU'LL NEED**

Education and Experience
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
+ Minimum of one (1) year of related experience (building/engineering operations)
+ CMMS & Microsoft Office (Outlook)

Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Turner & Townsend carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $110,000.00 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $145,000.00 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on Turner & Townsend’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
