Technical Clarification Specialist
**Technical ClarificationSpecialist, Gas Turbine** **A Snapshot of Your Day(position overview)** As a member of the Technical Clarification team, you will provide technical clarification of Gas Turbine spare parts to internal customers, supporting offers, orders, and outage planning for our Central Service Business. Using existing databases and your expertise, you will enhance data quality, improve processes, and address technical challenges to ensure accurate parts data. By collaborating with global teams across sales, project management, engineering, procurement, and suppliers, you will meet critical parts demands, promote operational success, and improve service standards. In this role, your proactive attitude and problem-solving skills will make a meaningful global impact on our business. **How You’ll Make anImpact (responsibilities)** + Provide technicalclarification of Gas Turbine spare parts and spare parts lists to support ourService Business parts quoting, ordering, and logistics processes, proactivelyfocusing on improving SE’s response time to customers. + Identify correctorderable parts, find alternatives, locate material master numbers, and assistwith material master data updates. + Support/drive critical/short-term outage demands fromsite (trouble shooting). + Ensure sustainable data quality by capturing knowledgeand updating systems of record. + Collaborate with colleagues and teams across SE such asSales, Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement teams to resolveparts data quality issues. + Analyze requests for potential improvements and driveprocess changes and/or automation projects to realize improvements,including to departmental improvement processes, support culturaltransformation, and drive adoption of new ways of working within diverseteams. **What You Bring(requirements)** + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, IndustrialEngineering, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent experience in asimilar role (e.g., Field Service Engineer, Commissioning Engineer). + Minimum 5+ years of experience in product design,service engineering, or order management, 8-10+ years preferred.Candidates with additional experience may qualify for a higher level. Experienceacross advanced Gas Turbine product lines (5000F, 8000H, 9000HL) ispreferred. + You are proactive problem solver with an organizedapproach, who demonstrates initiative, asks questions, and communicatesideas clearly to support team objectives. + Proficiency in English, with the ability to effectivelyconvey ideas through writing and speaking. German proficiency is a plus.Excellent collaboration skills to thrive in a multicultural teamenvironment while also able to work independently. + Proven experience managing technical data sources, suchas material masters, supersedure logic, bill of materials, configurationstructures, and drawings, with proficiency in IT tools like SAP PD2, PCM,and MS Office 365. Proficiency with Snowflake, Tableau or Alteryx a plus. + Applicants must be legally authorized for employment inthe United States without need for current or future employer-sponsoredwork authorization.
