**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Technical Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to the company’s accounting policies, assessing the impact of new accounting standards and assisting the Global Finance team with technical accounting inquiries. You will perform technical accounting assessments for a variety of topics such as: revenue recognition, derivatives, goodwill, business combinations, consolidations, investments, impairment analyses, leases, software capitalization, and compensation.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Partner with the Global Finance team in performing accounting analyses.
+ Support Corporate Development, Integration and Controllership teams during all phases of acquisitions of businesses (including financial due diligence, purchase accounting, measurement period adjustments).
+ Work closely with valuation specialists in connection with intangible assets and contingent consideration.
+ Research technical accounting matters and prepare well-written memos and presentations articulating these matters and coordinate with controllership to operationalize practical solutions.
+ Assist local controllership and finance teams with technical accounting inquiries over a variety of topics.
+ Identify, evaluate and assist with implementing new and evolving ASUs and/or SEC requirements.
+ Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment.
+ Collaborate with internal and external auditors to provide audit evidence and support, as necessary.
+ Assist with the preparation and delivery of training on general accounting concepts as well as technical matters.
+ Lead by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.
+ Provide technical advice and training on accounting systems to staff.
+ Participate in system conversions / enhancement providing scoping information, testing and feedback, and training others.
+ Ensure that systems and procedures are in compliance with company policies, acceptable accounting practices, and applicable regulations.
+ Maintain accounting processes and procedures which comply with generally accepted accounting principles, tax requirements, SEC requirements, and management reporting requirements.

+ Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
+ 5+ years of relevant experience, including public accounting experience (preferably Big 4) and exposure to large public companies with international operations.
+ Experience in technical accounting research and assessments over a variety of topics including business combinations (ASC 805).
+ CPA is required.
+ Overall understanding and experience in application of US GAAP and SEC financial reporting requirements including financial statements and financial statement footnotes.
+ External and internal audit/SOX compliance.
+ Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex financial information and transactions and accounting principles.
+ Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, including the ability to research and simplify complex situations.
+ Ability to independently research complex accounting transactions/issues.
+ Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team.
+ Advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
+ Comfort in drawing upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
