Offered Position: Tech Ops Engineer II Job Location: Herndon, Virginia Job Number: AMZ9579360 Position Responsibilities: Acts as Lead Facility Operations Center (FOC) Engineer and point of contact. Provides support to team during Critical Site (CSE) and Large Scale (LSE) events. Deep dives post event data and reviews all After Action Reports (AAR) to ensure standards are met. Meets or exceeds FOC KPIs in project delivery to develop and drive FOC Engineer efficiency projects which reduce manual tasks. Locates systemic infrastructure issues using data driven analysis to drive solutions. Collaborates with external teams to implement new processes and reduce waste. Creates and maintains FOC technical documentation. Manages technical training to ensure engineers meet the bar for engineering knowledge. Drives process improvement of FOC operations and ensures runbook compliance. Designs, creates and implements learning content, knowledge, and practical assessments. Develops certification mechanisms to further enhance operational excellence, professional and career development. Facilitates workshops and instructor led training programs as and when appropriate. Position Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in engineering or a related field and one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in engineering or a related field and five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation as equivalent to a master’s degree and one year of experience. Must have one year of experience in the following skills: (1) design and operations experience in data center or other mission critical facility; (2) experience with SCADA systems and alarm transmission; (3) owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition for projects; (4) building processes and coordinating release schedules across cross-functional teams; and (5) performing complex data analysis to justify technical decisions and presenting justifications to management in a high-level review.
