Our client, is a global medical technology company that develops, manufactures, and sells medical devices, laboratory equipment, and diagnostic products, is seeking a Tech 3, Scientific Operations to join their team.
**Job Title:** Tech 3, Scientific Operations
**Location:** Glencoe, MD
Summary of the Position: The Manufacturing Technician is responsible for assembling and manufacturing clinical and commercial products in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This role involves operating production equipment, performing material measurements, supporting testing processes, and assisting in validation procedures. The technician will also contribute to continuous improvement efforts and support the lead/supervisor when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Manufacture and assemble clinical and commercial products
+ Operate production equipment
+ Weigh, measure, and inspect raw materials to ensure accurate batch composition
+ Assist with in-process testing to verify batch compliance with specifications
+ Create solutions, powders, and liquids to meet batch requirements
+ Perform validation of processes and equipment related to filtration, cleaning, and sterilization
+ Handle and dispose of waste chemicals, solvents, and acids safely
+ Provide training support for new hires and new procedures
+ Support leads/supervisors as needed
+ Recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency
+ Follow established procedures in accordance with GMP
+ Adhere to all BD housekeeping and safety policies
+ Be available to work overtime as required.
Required Qualifications:
+ High school diploma with technical certification and 3+ years of lab experience, or
+ Associate’s degree in a scientific discipline with 2–3 years of lab experience, or
+ Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with 1–2 years of lab experience
+ Strong teamwork and communication abilities
+ High attention to detail
+ Excellent time management
+ Ability to work independently
+ Proficiency in English (reading, writing, evaluating charts, following diagrams, basic arithmetic)
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Location: Note: Not accessible by public transportation
