**Job Title: Team Leader**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader to join our team, supporting the supervisor by monitoring production lines for slow-downs and bottlenecks, and providing assistance to employees as needed. This role requires knowledge of all positions to effectively cover for absent employees and ensure smooth operations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Monitor production lines for slow-downs and bottlenecks.
+ Assist employees needing support during their shifts.
+ Cover for employees during restroom breaks or unexpected absences.
+ Accurately track all line production and rejects to ensure correct counts on finished parts.
+ Perform visual quality checks and communicate issues to the supervisor.
+ Arrive 15 minutes early to prepare for the day.
+ Send daily emails with production numbers and other relevant information.
**Essential Skills**
+ Team Lead experience in a production setting, preferably with 2-3 years of experience.
+ Experience leading a team of 8 to 18 employees in a manufacturing environment.
+ Proficiency with computers for sending emails and printing labels.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to lift 25 lbs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to lead and drive a team culture.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to escalate issues appropriately.
+ Ability to stand for the entire duration of the shift and lift up to 30 lbs.

**Work Environment**
This position operates on the 1st shift from 5:45 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Saturday, averaging 48 hours per week. The work environment includes assembly lines and stamping presses, and is clean and organized. Employees must wear close-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, and a yellow vest for safety. The team leader role is non-union, and the attendance policy follows a 12-point system. Please be mindful of traffic due to construction when commuting.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sterling Heights, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
