The Finance Division currently has different teams in MBPS. The key responsibilities are Finance Period-End Closing, Balance Sheet GL, Suspense and Non-Suspense Accounts Reconciliation, Expense Reporting, Financial and Regulatory Reporting, Management Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis and Budgeting and Forecasting.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Initiate the VPA daily trade process via an application batch process
+ Work closely with the Global Batch Operations Center (BOC) to troubleshoot issues that may arise during either process
+ Review exception/variance reports and communicate accordingly to the Boston staff
+ Ensure the integrity of the VPA system data through daily detailed reconciliations with various source data
+ Research variances and work with business unit control areas and Boston staff to resolve
+ Ensure that all work is completed on time and within given guidelines/standards.
+ Provide excellent customer service within the organization
+ Monitor processing of trade transactions submitted by the Business Units per policy and procedures
+ Ensure the integrity of the VPA system data through detailed daily reconciliations with the Business Units.
+ Troubleshoot issues that arise during the process and escalate to the Director as needed
+ Ensure that all work is completed on time and within given guidelines/standards
+ Provide the Asset allocation team daily reporting on underlying fund positions within their fund portfolios
+ Process trade instructions within the VPA application as dictated by the Asset Allocation Team
+ Daily review and reconciliation of ETF market value positions
+ Daily review and reconciliation of direct security trades and share positions
+ Assist with Business Unit fund and product initiatives
+ Assist with the system development and change process
+ Assist in maintaining proper documentation related to Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements for annual Segregated Funds and IT audits
+ Providing necessary audit support to PWC, E&Y, Compliance, Internal Audit or Risk teams are requested
+ Monitor and troubleshoot our RPA automation processes with the Robotic Automation Solutions team
+ Own review/QC responsibilities for the team
**Operational Support**
+ Ownership to ensure adequate controls are in place and issues are escalated and resolved timely
+ Provide support and /or training to junior team members of knowledge, processes and reporting requirements
+ Manage and drive initiatives of the team to oversee the planning, implementation and tracking of any short-term or streamlining and automation projects
+ Drive resolution of critical issues raised during operations and proactively manage and monitor control efficacy to ensure potential risk is minimized
+ Support ad-hoc analysis to identify root causes of production problems and develop timely solutions
**Stakeholder Management**
+ Effectively communicate with various stakeholders globally and establish a high level of credibility with business unit contacts
+ Identify and recommend opportunities to refine operational effectiveness of processes and controls
+ Identify and escalate any service issues received from customers and stakeholders
+ Effectively communicate significant production updates and challenges to management as well as to the business unit in a timely manner
**Leadership**
+ **D** rive the team in achieving its organizational goals and objectives.
+ Assist the manager/people manager for the performance management, professional growth and development of staff, which includes feedback sessions, productivity tracking, coaching, one-to-one meetings and regular employee reviews.
+ Lead and ensure sustainable activities and programs to keep positive and high engagement level from the team.
+ Lead the regular business reviews and produce dashboard and metrics reports detailing the team’s performance (productivity, utilization, and attendance), challenges and areas for improvement.

+ Ensure that all Service Level Agreements and MBPS and Business Unit compliance standards are always met
+ Improve team effectiveness by implementing, monitoring and reviewing training policies and guidelines
+ Optimizing resource utilization: ensuring that required resources are available as needed, existing resources are productive, level of HC and skills available are aligned with business requirements

+ Responsible for overall production management including recruitment and onboarding of staff, coordination with support functions such as HR, IT and Finance.
**Special Projects**
Special projects will arise from time to time that will require strong financial knowledge, strong analytical and organizational skills with an innovative mindset. The role will be responsible for handling projects as required by the management pertaining to the introduction of new services, products and processes designed.
**Qualifications:**
+ University degree in accounting, finance, business, or relevant field of study
+ At least 5 years progressive experience in a financial services company and/or shared services environment
+ Experience working with senior management teams (Stakeholder management requiring persuasion / influencing skills); relationship building and negotiation skills
+ Good understanding of the end-to-end production environment, and the impact of changes to the reporting process, production schedule, and all the systems and applications supported by Finance.
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
+ Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and adapt to change while managing time and workload with aggressive timelines.
+ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across cultures. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
+ Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel (i.e. mastery of excel formulas and pivot tables is a must; VBA is a plus). Proficient in MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Project.
+ Capable of building a business case for potential process improvements including cost/benefit analysis
+ Flexible on shift and overtime may be required to meet business deadlines.
+ Participates in educational opportunities; reads professional publications; maintains networks and participates in professional organizations to always be up to date on job knowledge.
