Team Lead, Aviation Line Service Technician
Position Summary...

What you'll do...What you would do... Clear, concise communication with all BLA team members and Walmart Aviation FOC and maintenance. Coordinate with Walmart Aviation and fellow BLA teammates regarding strategy, planning and positioning of aircraft for departure and arrivals. Strategize and delegate to your team on coverage of both WM Aviation and BLA ramp operations.Monitor, notate and plan daily operations (which include Walmart, based and transient aircraft) at the beginning of your shift. Carry a ramp radio to ensure all inbound arrivals are parked and greeted. Communicate with morning/night/weekend team any special customer requests.Monitor and track completion of daily, weekly, and monthly duties that your team is responsible for. Occasionally audit to ensure duties are being completed accurately and report to management if there are any issues.Communicate with teammates when tasks need to be completed. Coordinate with team members when you are out of office or a fellow team member from your shift is out, to assist in completion of duties. Communicate critical maintenance needs to management.Monitor daily operations to plan you and your team’s lunches within the 6-hour Walmart Policy work window. Ensure lunches are taken during non-peak times. Ensure your team takes their 15-minute breaks during non-peak times.Ensure all fuel orders received during your shift are completed and initialed as completed.At the end of your shift, all trucks are topped. Hangars and equipment are secured before you departure.All efforts to “set up for success” for the next team are implemented and communicated via the daily pass down.Ensure daily pass downs are completed. Coordinate with fellow team members to complete the pass down in your absence.Flexible, dependable, and timely to work. Collaborating with management on coverage of other shifts if needed.Preparing performance evaluations and providing input on associate development. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED3+ years of aviation, FBO, or ramp operations experiencePrior lead or supervisory experience in an operations environmentStrong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across teams and shiftsReliable, flexible, and able to manage daily operational priorities in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive setting Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by explaining, guiding, and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes and practices. Monitor associate actions to ensure they are being compliant with current SOPs and informing management of any violations or issues.

The hourly wage range for this position is $33.00 - $63.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

1 year’s experience in Fixed Base Operations.
Valid state-issued drivers’ license.
