The Tax Staff Accountant will play a key role in tax preparation, review, and planning for a variety of clients across industries such as agriculture, construction, and real estate. This position is ideal for a CPA or CPA candidate with a few years of public accounting experience who thrives in a collaborative, client-facing environment and wants to grow within a tax-focused career path.Responsibilities• Prepare, review, and plan tax returns for multiple clients (Ag ~30%, construction, real estate)
• Assist managers with tax and audit projects behind the scenes
• Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships
• Anticipate client needs and identify emerging tax trends
• Participate in client-facing meetings and deliver exceptional service
• Contribute to team development and firm growth initiatives during tax season
• Maintain compliance with tax laws, regulations, and firm standardsQualifications and Requirements• CPA license or in the process of obtaining certification
• 2–3 years of public accounting experience, preferably with a tax focus
• Proven ability to work with clients in Agriculture, Construction, and Real Estate
• Desire to remain in public accounting and advance professionally within the firm
• Strong interpersonal skills — relationship builder and trusted advisor mindset
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple client engagements
