Tax Manager - Public
Description We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our client's team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will oversee the preparation and review of tax returns for a diverse range of clients and industries. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review tax returns for various entities, including S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships, Non-Profits, and Individuals. • Develop and review supporting workpapers and ensure all documentation aligns with tax regulations. • Conduct in-depth research to address complex tax issues and provide accurate solutions. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through clear and precise communication. • Stay current with tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed advice. • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery. • Offer guidance and mentorship to entry-level staff on tax preparation and review practices. • Support clients with entity formation and compliance with tax requirements. • Utilize tax software, such as CCH ProSystem Fx, to streamline tax preparation and filing. • Assist with annual income tax provisions and ensure accurate reporting. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. • Eligibility for or willingness to obtain CPA licensure. • Minimum of 5 years of tax preparation experience within a public accounting firm, including at least 1-2 years of tax review experience. • Proficiency in tax software, including CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax. • Strong knowledge of corporate tax returns, including IRS Form 1120 and 1120S. • Familiarity with entity formation processes and compliance requirements. • Demonstrated expertise in preparing annual income tax provisions. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
