Job Description
We’re looking for a seasoned and detail-driven Indirect Tax Project Analyst to help lead the design, onboarding, and testing of indirect tax systems as part of a larger finance transformation effort. This role blends project coordination with specialized tax knowledge, playing a pivotal part in deploying and validating new indirect tax technology solutions.
Responsibilities
+ Facilitate the integration and setup verification of indirect tax platforms (such as Vertex and DRC), ensuring logic consistency across global entities.
+ Work closely with internal tax teams, IT departments, and external partners to assess specifications, align data structures, and validate jurisdictional frameworks.
+ Conduct system evaluations through structured testing, focusing on tax rate precision, billing behavior, and exception scenarios.
+ Participate in final-stage testing phases, including user validation, system stability checks, and post-launch assessments.
+ Organize project milestones, testing activities, and issue tracking for the indirect tax component within a larger transformation effort.
+ Monitor interdepartmental deliverables and dependencies across Tax, IT, Finance, and consulting teams.
+ Share timely progress reports with stakeholders and project managers, highlighting challenges and critical decisions.
+ Maintain detailed records of testing outcomes, system bugs, and corrective actions, ensuring transparency and traceability.
+ Help outline and refine tax-related workflows, compliance controls, and system touchpoints with financial and operational platforms.
+ Support the development of procedural guides, instructional content, and onboarding materials for end users.
+ Analyze current tax data processes to uncover areas for optimization in billing, compliance, and reporting.
+ Act as a bridge between tax subject matter experts and technical teams during solution planning and rollout.
+ Engage in vendor consultations and configuration assessments to confirm adherence to international tax standards.
+ Assist with organizational readiness efforts, ensuring smooth transitions and stakeholder engagement during system deployments.
Essential Skills
+ Strong background in VAT (Value Added Tax), BD, GST; hands-on compliance/consulting experience.
+ Experience in or advising large corporations, not just small/local businesses.
+ Strong project management skills with Scrum Master certification and familiarity with project management software viewed as a plus.

+ Demonstrated background working in a contract-based role.
+ Familiarity with SAP is highly advantageous; experience with other major ERP platforms is also valuable.
+ 3–5+ years of hands-on involvement in indirect tax, including exposure to global VAT/GST or U.S. sales and use tax frameworks.
+ Understanding of how indirect tax is configured and applied within enterprise systems like SAP or Oracle.
+ Participated in or supported the rollout of tax technology solutions or enterprise-wide finance transformation initiatives.
+ Acquainted with corporate tax compliance procedures and audit preparation standards.
+ Highly organized with a sharp eye for detail and a strong orientation toward project execution.
+ Practical experience using Vertex O Series or similar tax automation tools.
+ Exposure to SAP DRC or equivalent platforms used for indirect tax reporting and documentation.
