Amazon is seeking a talented Tax Manager to join its Income Tax Provision and Reporting tax team. The Amazon tax department is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment.
This position will contribute to Amazon’s worldwide income tax accounting process for interim and annual reporting periods. Immerse yourself in the most intriguing tax issues facing Amazon on a worldwide scale!
Key job responsibilities
- Prepare global tax calculations and maintain comprehensive supporting documentation for Amazon's worldwide operations
- Prepare analytics for external auditors and senior finance management teams
- Partner with stakeholders to evaluate new technologies and implement automated solutions
- Contribute to the preparation of tax disclosures for 10-Q and 10-K filings, ensuring compliance with ASC 740 guidance and adherence to US GAAP
- Develop and maintain forecasting models for cash taxes and tax expense to support internal reporting and financial planning processes
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- Understanding of accounting concepts
- ASC740 knowledge
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $80,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $172,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
