Description Amazon is seeking a talented Tax Manager to join its Income Tax Provision and Reporting tax team. The Amazon tax department is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment. This position will contribute to Amazon’s worldwide income tax accounting process for interim and annual reporting periods. Key job responsibilities - Prepare global tax calculations and maintain comprehensive supporting documentation for Amazon's worldwide operations - Prepare analytics for external auditors and senior finance management teams - Partner with stakeholders to evaluate new technologies and implement automated solutions - Contribute to the preparation of tax disclosures for 10-Q and 10-K filings, ensuring compliance with ASC 740 guidance and adherence to US GAAP - Develop and maintain forecasting models for cash taxes and tax expense to support internal reporting and financial planning processes Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience - Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department - Bachelor's degree Preferred Qualifications - CPA - Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level - Understanding of accounting concepts - ASC740 knowledge - Strong analytical skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $80,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $172,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
