Tax Associate

In this role, you will:

Perform tax accounting activities related to the preparation of state and local personal property tax returns.

Prepare routine tax work papers, account reconciliations, responses to audit requests, research memos and correspondence

Maintain records related to personal property tax returns and reports

Receive direction from manager and exercise independent judgment while developing basic knowledge of federal and state tax laws, rulings, regulations and judicial decisions affecting corporations

Collaborate and consult with peers, managers and stakeholders


Required Qualifications:

6+ months of Corporate Tax experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Prior personal property tax or leasing experience.

A BS/BA degree or higher in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, Analytics, or Reporting

Accounting or finance experience

Property tax experience

Knowledge of Property Tax Management Software (PTMS) or other property tax software

Experience with Tax Research software (CCH, IRA)

Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access) skills

Knowledge and understanding of equipment finance and leasing

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$25.48 - $41.83
