About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Accountant who can hit the ground running. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in tax preparation and planning, particularly within the agricultural sector. Our clients range from small family farms to large-scale operations, and we need someone who understands the unique nature of farm accounting.
Key Responsibilities:Prepare individual and business tax returns for agriculture clientsConduct tax planning meetings with clients to optimize financial outcomesAnalyze financial data specific to agricultural operationsCollaborate with clients to ensure compliance and maximize tax efficiencyMaintain up-to-date knowledge of farm-specific tax laws and regulationsSupport clients through seasonal fluctuations and complex financial scenariosQualifications:5+ years of experience in tax preparation, ideally with farm clientsProven ability to manage 190+ tax returns annually, generating over $250K in revenueStrong understanding of farm accounting principles and agricultural tax codesAbility to work independently and manage multiple client relationshipsExcellent communication and client service skillsCPA or EA designation preferred but not requiredWork Environment:Hybrid schedule: 2 remote days per weekFlexibility required during busy season (January–April)Collaborative team environment with a focus on client successIdeal Candidate Profile:Experienced in handling a high volume of tax returns (agriculture clients)Comfortable working with clients of varying operation sizesDetail-oriented, proactive, and client-focusedReady to contribute immediately and grow within a dynamic team
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.40 - $54.80/hr.
