Senior Tax Analyst

Job Description

The Senior Tax Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the Associate Director, Tax, by ensuring timely and accurate U.S. income tax compliance and reporting. This position is designed for detail-oriented professionals who possess strong analytical skills and have experience in corporate tax. The role offers an opportunity to collaborate across departments and work with external advisors.

Responsibilities

Prepare federal and state income tax return workpapers, such as Schedule M, 5472, and state apportionment schedules, as requested by external service providers.Review draft income tax returns for accuracy and completeness.Assist with data requests for the R&D income tax credit calculation.Initiate and track all income tax payments and fulfill internal tax payment reporting requirements.Calculate and maintain intercompany transfer prices for products sold to affiliates.Support the calculation of budget and year-end transfer pricing adjustments.Prepare annual reconciliation of transactions with affiliates.Prepare current and deferred income tax provision calculations using Longview Tax Provision, including schedule M calculations, fixed asset data review and reconciliation, prior year true-ups, and other provision schedules as needed.Support submission of tax provision data to Group Tax for financial statement reporting.Prepare monthly tax entries and quarterly tax account reconciliations.Maintain Form W-8 tracking schedule and serve as a backup for reviewing these forms.Prepare annual 1042 filing and associated workpapers.Assist the Associate Director, Tax, with IRS and state audit defense and notices.Provide support for data requests from external auditors.

Essential Skills

Strong knowledge of tax, income tax, transfer pricing, and corporate tax.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.3-5 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a corporate multinational setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Graduate degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent.CPA designation.Experience with SAP.Longview Tax Provision experience.Advanced Excel skills.Strong analytical skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.Knowledge of tax technical research products.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment, with three days spent in the office and two days remote. Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM. The role requires some flexibility to meet deadlines and collaborate with various departments.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
