Tax Accountant
Job Title: Tax Accountant

Job Description

As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining all business filing requirements, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, adhering to deadlines, conducting research, and completing special projects as assigned.

ResponsibilitiesFile business license applications and renewals.File property tax returns and other statutory filings for all state and local municipalities.Research and respond to tax notices and correspondence in a timely manner.Maintain business tax records and filing dates.Reconcile monthly tax ledgers and prepare appropriate journal entries.Process business license and property tax payments.Verify sales tax certificates from customers and research updates.Perform other special projects as assigned.Essential SkillsProficiency in tax and accounting principles.Experience in reconciliation, income tax, and sales tax.Competency in using Great Plains software and Blackline.Reporting and journal entry skills.Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Two to four years of related work experience.Experience with PTMS and License HQ or similar tax software programs.Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Excellent organizational skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Keen eye for detail and accuracy.Advanced problem-solving, analytical, and deductive reasoning skills.Professional verbal and written communication skills.Work Environment

Onsite at a headquarters location.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr.
