Task Force Catering Manager / Conference Services Manager (Hilton & Marriott Experience Preferred)
These evergreen Task Force Catering / Conference Services roles support Hilton- and Marriott-branded hotels by providing interim event and meetings coverage during transitions, openings, staffing gaps, or periods of increased group demand. Assignments may include Catering Manager or Conference Services Manager coverage, depending on property needs. The role focuses on managing group and event execution, maintaining service standards, supporting client relationships, and ensuring seamless coordination between sales, operations, and banquet teams. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, guest-focused professionals who can step into short-term assignments and make an immediate operational impact.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage assigned group and catering events from turnover through on-site execution
Serve as the primary on-property contact for meeting planners and group clients
Coordinate event details with sales, banquet, culinary, and operations teams
Ensure accurate event orders, rooming lists, and billing details
Oversee on-site event execution to ensure service standards and client expectations are met
Support service recovery and resolve client concerns professionally and efficiently
Maintain clear communication with property leadership during transitions
Ensure continuity of event operations, documentation, and client experience
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.3 years+ experience as a Sales Manager in a high end Catering environmentFamiliar with Marriott systems - Delphi.fdc, CI/TY, Marshaor Familiar with Hilton systems - Delphi.fdc, OnQAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in written form with the public as well as other team members.Essential statistical and analytical skills required to identify revenue opportunities and shortfalls.Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to achieve goals.Ability to thrive in a multi-tasked and fast-paced environment.Someone with the availability to work when the events are happening, i.e. weekends, nights and holidaysEmployment Status & BenefitsTask Force roles are classified as temporary, full-time positions. Temporary employees are not eligible for medical, dental, life insurance, paid time off, retirement savings plans, or bonus programs.
CompensationTask Force assignments are compensated on a weekly rate basis and paid biweekly or in accordance with the property’s payroll schedule. Compensation is determined based on role level, scope, location, and assignment complexity. The pay range for this position is $1,200–$2,500 per week, depending on assignment level. Actual compensation will be confirmed at the time of assignment.
