Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Tanium Administrator in Waller, TX to support, maintain, and optimize our client's enterprise endpoint management and security environment. This role is responsible for administering Tanium modules, ensuring accurate visibility across all endpoints, and enabling secure, scalable operations. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience with Tanium in a mid‑to‑large enterprise, strong troubleshooting skills, and a passion for building reliable, automated solutions. This position follows a hybrid schedule, requiring 2–3 days onsite per week.
In this role, the Tanium Administrator manages the daily operations of our Tanium platform, ensuring endpoint data accuracy, policy compliance, and system health across the organization. Each day involves monitoring dashboards, investigating anomalies, and responding to alerts related to patching, security posture, and endpoint performance. You will create and maintain sensors, packages, and automation workflows, while collaborating closely with security, infrastructure, and desktop engineering teams to support incident response, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening efforts. The role also includes maintaining documentation, evaluating new Tanium features, optimizing existing modules, and ensuring the platform remains aligned with organizational security and operational standards.

Skills and Requirements
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience administering Tanium in an enterprise environment
- Strong understanding of Tanium modules such as Deploy, Patch, Discover, Comply, or Asset
- Ability to create, modify, and troubleshoot sensors, packages, and queries
- Experience supporting patch management, endpoint compliance, and vulnerability remediation
- Solid understanding of Windows endpoint management (Linux/macOS experience is a plus)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across OS, network, and endpoint layers
- Ability to collaborate with security, infrastructure, and support teams
- Ability to work onsite 2–3 days per week in a hybrid schedule - Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages
- Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, or vulnerability management tools
- Experience integrating Tanium with enterprise security platforms
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, or Azure AD
- Exposure to automation/orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, SCCM, Intune)
- Tanium certifications such as TCA, TCS, or TC
