Talent Acquisition Specialist

Job Summary 

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for managing the recruitment efforts for assigned areas of At Home.  Their role is to provide the support, knowledge and tools needed for successful career placement with At Home. In partnership with business leaders and Talent Acquisition leadership, this role will develop talent acquisition strategies to attract and hire the best in class for functional areas of the business. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will serve as conduit in the local community to support relationships and talent pipeline efforts to ensure appropriate candidate flow and pipeline. 

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities: 

 

Builds relationships with leaders to develop & establish recruiting strategies to support growth Develop and execute strategies to proactively identify, source and recruit high-quality ‘best fit’ team members for At Home Responsible for full recruitment lifecycle including managing the interview, selection, and hiring processes Consult with multiple business partners regarding Recruitment, Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, Diversity, Retention, and internal sourcingAccountable to manage the recruitment lifecycle, business partner for talent, coach and counsel for hiring decisions, salary decisions, negotiations, and selling/representing the At Home brand externally to candidates.Acquire industry knowledge and competitive market data and proactively use this information to drive potential changes to the staffing plan.Provides proactive, timely, cost-effective recruitment and screening of qualified candidates from sourcing through the hiring processLeverages recruiting tools, social media, recruitment marketing and collateral, cold calling, networking and other sourcing channels to identify potential candidatesCommunicates with the candidates regarding career opportunities with At Home through recruitment techniques that articulate our team member growth storySupports the opening and relocation of stores by recommending sources for talent and manages timelinesInitiates and fosters relationships with potential candidates for the purposes of future talent pipelineDocuments candidate information, sources, screening activities, interviews, offers and hires for the purpose of meeting compliance requirements and measuring effectiveness of tools in placeActs as consultant to hiring managers by identifying and recommending candidates for hireAmends and post job descriptions; source applicants, screen resumes, screens and recommends candidates, salary negotiations, ensures background screens are conducted 

Follows up with all new Store Director hires to ensure that their onboarding, training and employee experience is at or above our Talent Acquisition brand promise

 

Qualifications & Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent year for year experience5 + years previous experience in exempt-level recruiting, negotiating compensation and closing dealsRetail field/corporate, restaurant field or search firm experience is strongly preferredAnalytical, detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and strong communication skills
