About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a System Operations Engineer
In this role, you will:
Participate in complex technical issues and initiatives related to large scale applications, systems, databases, or other technical products and servicesIdentify opportunity for process improvements within technical support strategies and plansReview and analyze technical queries to extract data, create standard databases, or perform limited programming to fine tune systems supporting low to medium risk technical deliverablesPresent recommendations for resolving complex technical queriesExercise some independent judgment to analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements while developing understanding of technical process controls or standardsWork as an internal consultant regarding use of tools and processesProvide information related to supported system area to functional colleagues, internal partners and stakeholders, including internal customers
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Systems Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
2+ years of Unix based applications platform support experience1+ years of experience on middle ware technologies ( tomcat / Jboss / apache )1+ years of application production support experience with UNIX Shell Scripting, Perl, NDM and Appviewx system components1+ years of technical troubleshooting experience.1+ years of application support experience with Java/J2EE.1 + years of experience in supporting OpenShift Cloud1 + years of experience in Big Panda and Grafana.Experience leading the day-to-day technical activities related to maintaining a reliable and effective server environment.Demonstrated experience of 2+ years with very large relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server )Exposure to OpenText products is good to have.Hands on experience on writing Splunk queries, creating Splunk dashboards, AppDynamics dashboards and health check rules.Good Understanding of Service Management Processes (Incident/Change/Problem Management) with hands on experience in Servicenow.Demonstrated experience in preparing reports & dashboards.Attention to detail & ability to make quick and accurate decisions, including timely identification & appropriate escalation of critical issues.Ability to work as part of diverse team to resolve issues quickly and deliver against established deadline.Ability to Communicate and Co-ordinate with multiple support teams and send business communications.
